​Provides training in both administrative and clinical procedures

The objective is to prepare graduates for entry-level positions as medical assistants in various settings

Positions include insurance billing clerks, medical billers, laboratory technicians, and medical receptionists

Work locations can range from hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes, to home health agencies

Program completion: 16 weeks

Divided into academic periods with online classroom instruction

Eligibility for graduation: successful completion of all courses and minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be awarded a Diploma in Medical Assisting and test for a national CMCA exam certification
